Dream Cures: Dreamscape
A very important part of healing with the dream state is making sure that you are comfortable within a dream, this means that you should also be comfortable physically, which is why it is usually preferable to lucid dream in a bed. As for mental comfort, there is a technique to handle this.
A Dreamscape is a plain of mental existence in which a dreamer can make all the rules, including scenery, events and feelings. Not only does this self fashioned area of the consciousness provide a amazing relief from harsh reality, but it also gives the dreamer a chance to look deep inside the mind and get a clear view of various issues outside the dream, some people choose to actually visualise their subconscious mind and give it a shape within the Dreamscape meaning that to a certain level, they are able to converse with a part of them they know nothing about, this technique is unfortunately only available to experienced or over confident dreamers.
Developing a Dreamscape can be simple… or very difficult. It depends on both confidence and general ability, most people find that the easiest way is to simply tell themselves that every time they become lucid they will start off in a Dreamscape, if they come to truly believe this - then they probably will. The Dreamscape is usually a blank space to start with, but soon after a dreamer enters it, it can be changed by thought alone, although this whole concept sounds far fetched, it is a fact that even people who do not lucid dream, have their own Dreamscape - although much less organised and calm than the sort available to someone in control of the dream state.
