Lucid Dreaming: Dream Diary
This is without a doubt - the most important preparation for becoming lucid. Keeping a dream diary helps you to recall details from a dream, which you would otherwise forget. And in turn it assists you in the task of recognising dream signs, which are ultimately the trigger of lucid dreaming. This first stage requires a fair amount of discipline, as the general thing to do upon waking is turn over and returns to sleep. However if you wish to succeed with lucid dreaming you must force yourself to grab a dream diary and jot down what you remember about your dreams. This whole process will help increase "dream recall", after all there is no point having a lucid dream if you cannot remember it.
