Nightmares: A Cure For Nightmares

There are not many scientifically accepted ways to gain enough control of the mind that it becomes possible to avoid nightmares. The one most commonly recommended is simply to see a psychiatrist and perhaps undergo some form of hypnotism. Although this may not work for some people it is admittedly the easiest way, but as the theme of this website is in fact dreams, an alternative method will be described. This method is of course a last resort, please do not attempt it without first consulting a psychiatrist, it is also only a technique attempted by adept lucid dreamers, if this is not you, we urge you not to continue. As you might expect, to a skilled lucid dreamer it is no hardship to defy nightmares, it is simply a matter of control. Choose the method that most suits your personality, you can either confront the issue within a lucid dream by giving it a weaker form, or you can simply help yourself understand it by dreaming about it frequently, while of course maintaining control over the situation.
